Busy Bee, That’s ME!

Sorry I’ve been MIA, but I’ve been having lots of fun! Well, there was one day where I was under the weather (which is an understatement to say the least) but I’m choosing to focus on the positive. I attached pictures, just so you would know why I was ignoring you. 🙂 It won’t happen again. Maybe. No promises.

Most of the weekend was spent driving all around Atlanta…

Friday night we stayed in and played Hopping Frogs. {more fun than it looks}

Saturday we had yummy tacos & chocolate empanadas at Uncle Julio’s. {So far my fav restaurant in ATL}

Then we walked around Inman Park and enjoyed the festival music and crafts. {lemonade & foam fingered fun was had here}

Sunday we enjoyed greasy stadium food and watching the Braves beat the Pirates! {And went back to Uncle Julio’s because I was craving those tacos all day.}

Monday was all about food… We had yummy rice & grilled veggies at Gutbusters. {gotta love that name}

And then for dinner, veggie pizza at Johnny’s New York Style Pizza.

After all that fun in Atlanta, it was time for me to head back home. It was a loooooong ride late at night and I should really be asleep right now.

Lucky pup!

I took a personality test today and the results told me ISFP: Introversion, Sensing, Feeling and Perception. I can mostly agree with these results, check out the details to learn more below:

Introversion (vs Extroversion) – You tend to be quiet and reserved. You prefer a few close friends instead of a large group of acquaintances. Also, you tend to expend energy in social situations.

**I definitely agree with this one. It’s a given that I am introvert, as I have always been quiet, shy and kept mostly to myself. This can easily get misinterpreted into being stuck up, but I am the farthest thing from being “too good!” I am just too quiet. 🙂 I have also been told in the past that I have a hard time being best friends with more than one person at a time. Apparently there is some truth in that statement, and perhaps I just don’t have enough energy for it? Not sure how to balance that.**

Sensing (vs Intuition)- You tend to focus on the details instead of the big picture, and on reality instead of possibilities.

**This one has to be wrong. I could care less about details, and I wish people would realize this and spare me the long detailed stories. Man, that sounded mean. Ah well, truth hurts, right? Also, I’m probably equally focused on reality and possibilities. I must have misunderstood some questions!**

Feeling (vs Thinking) – You tend to rely more on personal considerations and social implications than on logic.

**Again, not so sure about this one, but realistically I am probably 50/50 Feeling and Thinking.**

Perception (vs Judgement) – You tend to withhold judgement and delay important decisions, preferring to keep your options open.

**I try not to judge, but I’m sure I could use some improvement. I probably do tend to delay important decisions, and I know a few people that will be nodding their heads when they read that last part about me preferring to keep my options open. LOL.**

Take your test at Simple Minds.

By the way Kyle, you were wrong! Hah

What’s On Your To-Do List?

Are you like me and have a to-do list that is always a million miles long? It’s amazing how putting a check in a box or striking thru a task gives me instant gratification! Well, unfortunately, I feel like I haven’t accomplished much at all on my personal to-do list in the past few weeks. I moved into a new position at work (yay!) and this is taking up all of my mental energy. I come home pretty exhausted and find myself just catching up on the day-to-day stuff, so I don’t really have time for those extra chores or hobbies that I would love to get around to.

Also, I started off this year thinking 2012 will be the year of change for me. I had a very long list of goals and something I would tackle each month, and boy have I been slacking. However, I’m extremely happy with some areas. My relationships and career life have both improved and are headed in positive directions, which are two very big parts of life. It’s more of the smaller things that aren’t coming together. I still need to get fit and eat better. I still need to gain more financial freedom. I still need to clean, organize and sell some of my junk. What are the things you are concerned with changing right now?

At this very moment, I am searching for inspiration and trying to find the time to focus on it. On the other hand, there are several small pleasures in life I am enjoying.

I’m really enjoying my new Yankee Candle {Soho Living} in Rose Petal right now. I burn this candle every night and am enjoying the scent and ambiance it gives my apartment.

For the past week or so, I have been going thru my photo box in search of pictures to hang on my new office walls at work. This has been such a small, yet wonderful task. I have thoroughly enjoyed looking back over time and allowing my mind to wander thru the memories. All the ex-boyfriends were previously removed, so this was a nice photo mix of family and friends over time. 🙂

My new goal for now is: just breathe. I’d also like to map out some sort of exercise/healthy eating plan before May and finally get this apartment in order. See how quickly that happened? Just breathing turned into two tasks in a matter of seconds! Oh, I’ll never be the kind of person who is able to slow down, will I? I guess that’s okay as long as I am enjoying “life in the fast lane” (-David).

P.S. My BFF just started a blog about her wedding wars and mushy moments. It should be hilarious and heart-warming at the same time. Be sure to check it out over at Every Kiss Is A Cursive Line.

Hello, My Name is Ashley

First off, I'm one of those girls who takes a thousand pictures of myself but never likes any of them. The one above will have to do.

You're probably wondering what I will bring to the blogging world and why you should follow me. Well, I'm not sure yet. I have always loved writing and am an avid blog reader. I have owned a few shorter lived blogs in the past that centered around certain things in my life. However, I plan for this blog to follow me for years, and for that reason I am not making it about anything in particular. Maybe down the road I'll narrow it down once I find out what my niche is. For now, it will be about whatever pops into my head that moment. That right there is reason enough to follow… you never know what you'll read next. This blog could give you the next big "aha" moment in your life. Or it could make you pee in your pants from laughing so hard. You wouldn't want to miss that now, would you?

And this little guy is the other reason. Meet Colby… he will make appearances quite often I'm sure. 🙂
